Submission With Dignity, Dominance with Respect
BDSM is a lifestyle without limits, a world that allows us to explore one another to whatever extent our partner permits. Nowhere is it written that a certain behavior exceeds the boundaries of BDSM, nor can any one turn and tell you you're "doing it wrong" because your personal preferences don't include one of theirs.
And, as much as any - and more than most - so-called sexual relationships, BDSM extends so far beyond the sexual that, for many practitioners, it is those people whose vocabulary does not extend beyond the carnal (or the brutal) who are the true amateurs and outsiders.
This is not to say that we live in a universe that is wholly without convention, nor one that is wholly without rules. But just as it is very easy for an outsider to look at the desires of a slave and accuse him or her of opening themselves to what other people might consider "abuse," so it is also a common mistake to look at the behavior of a so-called Dom/me and accuse them of not being dominant enough. Or vice versa... a slave who is "not submissive enough," an owner who is "too harsh by far."
There are no such things.
We have all met the slave who tries too hard to submit, or the Master who tries too hard to dominate. Or again, the ones who don't try hard enough. But too hard for whom? If an inept Master meets an inept slave, and they are happy together, who is to tell them they are doing something wrong? True, their behavior in the days/weeks/months it takes them to actually find one another may be reprehensible, and will often lead to them being either chased, or laughed, out of every sim they try to impose themselves upon. But once they have found one another, their ineptitude is irrelevant.
Because they have not only found each other. They have also discovered the core values that truly lat at the heart of the BDSM lifestyle... the only values that, ultimately, are the same for all of us (and completely different for everyone).

If you style yourself a Dom/me, then behave like one. Shouting at slaves and wearing the coat are all a lot of fun, but that is all you become - a coat with a big mouth. Unless, of course, that particular slave expressly tells you otherwise. Be dominant, but be respectful.

Don't grovel and simper and reduce yourself to a puddle of slime, in the hope that this time, the Sir or Miss might pay attention. A Dom/me is not a piece of furniture, a Dom/me is not a soul-less lump, and most of all, a Dom/me is not there for your personal amusement and entertainment. Unless, of course, that particular Dom/me expressly tells you otherwise. Be submissive, but be dignified.

Who doesn't love PINK??? This Sunday night at 6:00 pm slt, up on the roof, Bobby Fallon Tribute Bands will bring us another one of their awesome shows. Dark Side concerts almost always max the sim so be early or you might miss out. Lots of great people to meet and mingle with, fantastic music. A good time for all!!
